For more than eleven years, Donnie has struggle for his life and career. He made his first job at the small local grocery store in our town not long after his high school graduation. We bought the Splash Bomb Water Slide locally last Spring. The 7 year old and 14 year old had such a great time with it, we kind of splurged and got 3 slip `n slides to replace it when it finally tore after about 10 hours of hard use.

The first one we put up was the Aqua Leisure Spray and Slide Family Pool. The design looked great, and if it could have only held air, it might have been really fun. But the air plugs wouldn't hold and we were forever adding air to all the bladders, and it tore quickly. Nice design, horrible fabrication.

Shark's Revenge Water Slide was our next slide to assemble. The slide is long, but didn't have the comfort advantage of an inflated slide. Plus, it had this odd shark head part that 1) had an odd sized port for adding water, and 2) wasn't stable enough to stand up so the kids could slide through it. Bottom line was that while it looked fun in the pics, it wasn't worth the money for just a long piece of vinyl.

Our third replacement took us back to the Splash Bomb, and it was the hit of the birthday party last weekend for the now-8-year-old. We had kids from 3 to 30 jumping in and loving it. And it was sturdy enough to go through that without getting torn. Splash Bomb gets my heartiest endorsement.

Furthermore, there is one place along your journey where you can get into a seemingly infinite loop going around and around trying to collect enough aphids to get past those bully ants.

As a parent who is obligated to play this game when the kids want to, I can say that it has gotten quite tedious, and when the kids want to play it I just wince. Still, it's not nearly as bad as Chutes and Ladders.

This is the first Marvel item I've purchased since Hasbro took over the Marvel contract from Toy Biz and boy am I disappointed.
First off the articulation for the figure has only 23 points where as the Toy Biz Icon Series averaged 30 or more.

Second the paint is already starting to scrape off around certain joints after posing it only 2 times.

Third the inability to articulate the hands or rotate the legs below the knee greatly reduces the posability factor.

Fourth the head is way too small for the body. The Silver Surfer is suppose to be slender so therefore the head should look larger not smaller.

Last the plastic is made of a much cheaper grade than what Toy Biz used and I suspect that has something to do with why the level of muscular detail is less than what it was during the Toy Biz tenure. View product details in Amazon

After being a fan of Transformers when I was younger, I had to go out and get at least one of the new toys for the movie. (Although I'm 28 years old). Let me just say that first of all I am very impressed. Although transforming this thing from truck to robot and back almost took the better part of an hour for the first time, the look and feel of the finished transformed product is amazing. Although some of the other Transformers seem a little top heavy in robot mode, Ironhide has large feet making him pretty easy to stand up. He also looks awesome in robot mode, with a ton of detail... and the black color makes it very attractive, especially to the older crowd. While in truck mode (and it seems very difficult to get these things back into vehicle mode) the toy actually seems very "playable" with all of the many moving parts snapping back into place nicely to form a solid truck. It it actually looks like a normal toy truck... the engineering that went into this is genius.

However, like I said, I don't think this thing was made for kids. With so many little moving parts, twisting and turning and snapping and folding and clicking, something is bound to break if this guy is overhandled.
